Arthur Conan Doyle is an author who seamlessly combined detective and adventurer, science enthusiast and spiritualist, as well as writer and physician. Remaining true to his medical calling throughout his life and drawing inspiration from it, the master wrote: "...any doctor should be grateful to fate for his profession. After all, doing good is such a huge pleasure that one should pay for this privilege..." "The Young Doctor's Letters" is the story of the life of the young doctor Stark Munro. Largely autobiographical, almost all the characters in it are based on real prototypes. The doctor is just about to open his own practice and writes about his relationships with his parents, meeting his future wife, his aspirations, and plans. And also about the various escapades of his friend - the doctor James Callinworth, who either tries to radically change medical practice or comes up with incredible inventions altogether. And in the novel "The Stark Munro Letters," Doyle tells the story of the restless Mrs. Westmacott - a staunch advocate for women's rights who disrupts the peace of a peaceful town and changes the fate of most of the local residents.
