The Italian publishing house 'Lo Scarabeo' and the intellectual book publisher 'Avalon' (Russia) present a new joint project - the release of original Tarot card series aimed at Russian-speaking consumers. In the new Tarot card collection, beautifully crafted by Italian publishers, there is an instruction in Russian, an exclusive translation and edition of which was carried out by the Russian publishing house 'Avalon'. This Tarot card series is one of the most famous card decks for divination: its attractive symbolism has great power, allowing the prediction of the future. The meaning of the cards is easily interpretable, thanks to the interpretations given by Marie Anne Lenormand, who became known as Madame Lenormand or 'The Salon Sibyl' and who divined for Napoleon Bonaparte himself. The most famous of the fortune-tellers, Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand was born on May 27, 1768, in the small French town of Alençon. From childhood, Anne was perceptive, saw people's auras, and could read others' thoughts. Being raised in a Benedictine monastery, Lenormand avidly read ancient books on numerology, magic, and esotericism. The works and biography of the famous Rhine sibyl - the abbess Hildegard of Bingen, who lived in the 12th century, had a special influence on the future fortune-teller's development. Having become a recognized court fortune-teller, Lenormand herself received the nickname - The Salon Sibyl. Lenormand was only eighteen years old when she opened a fortune-telling salon. The salon quickly gained immense popularity. In 1793, the salon was visited by Marat, Saint-Just, and Robespierre. She predicted a violent death for all of them. Lenormand's greatest fame came from her friendship with Joséphine de Beauharnais, to whom she predicted a union with Napoleon Bonaparte. Marie Anne predicted future victories and the crown for Napoleon himself. Marie Lenormand restored to cartomancy - the study of fate using pre-established meanings of cards and their combinations - its previously lost meaning. Based on 52 cards, she created and perfected a deck of 36 cards in 1840, which was published in 1890 in Paris.
