Lenin and the Bolshevik-Leninists created a new type of state, which the communists of the new formation betrayed and destroyed after seventy years. Starting from the 1990s, it was commonly said that the Soviet Union was synonymous with Russia in a new form and a continuation of the thousand-year-old Russian state, although there is no document from the Soviet government that speaks of this. On the contrary, the Soviet state actively denied its succession from pre-revolutionary Russia, and the USSR was conceived as the antipode of historical Russia, based on the imperial idea of coexistence within the boundaries defined by history, with multiple different ethnic and religious groups. The class ideology of Leninism and the principles of state structure laid down by Lenin in the foundation of the USSR proclaimed the opposite.
Based on historical facts, archival documents, and Lenin's writings, the author gives his personal assessment of Lenin's ideology and the decisions of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars, which he sees as anti-Russian.
