The workbook for the first part of the textbook "Learn to Speak Spanish" (Encuentros con el español) contains exercises that can serve as homework for the corresponding lessons. The workbook contains 21 homework assignments (tarea de casa). Like the textbook, the workbook is intended for students who are beginning to learn Spanish from scratch. Most of the exercises in the textbook are designed to develop communication skills, while the workbook allows for better practice of grammar, spelling, and vocabulary reinforcement. Most of the exercises are meant to be done in written form, whereas most exercises in the textbook are oral. The workbook, like the textbook, helps to master the basic tenses of the indicative mood and basic relevant vocabulary and idiomatic expressions in a simple and easy form, including through game-like tasks.
