The training manual discusses the features of the doctrine and the cult of the main world religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Islam), are presented areas for the development of the professional competence of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the field of religious crime, and the issues of preventing extremism in the field of interethnic and interfessional relations in the institutions of the penal correction system. The first chapter discusses the features of world religions, and tasks are proposed for the effective assimilation of the information received. In the second chapter, the essence and content of the concepts of national-religious extremism, ethnic and religious tolerance are revealed. The third chapter presents practical recommendations for the prevention of extremism in the field of interethnic and interfaith relations in the penal correction system. The manual includes applications containing practical materials for the activities of UIS employees.
