As a result of the study, the features of the normative legal regulation of the police to identify the crimes of an economic orientation using special economic knowledge in the operational -search activities of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation and the mechanisms of criminal activity in the economy were analyzed. Particular attention was paid to the problematic issues of using various forms of special economic knowledge in the process of identifying and disclosing crimes, anxious trends in legislative and operational investigative practice related to unreasonable identification of such forms as documentary audit and study of the status of a specialist-revisor as the subject of activity to identify and disclose crimes.
Based on the information received, the most effective ways of scientific support are given regarding the new form of use of special economic knowledge in operational-search activities, which is the Institute of Road Specialists, which are in the staff of operational units of the EbiPK.
Authorized and generalized general scientific and special literature, materials of the media (printed and Internet publications), judicial practice.

for cadets, students of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, employees of internal affairs bodies, scientists, doctoral students and graduate students
