The book reveals issues of modernization of state and municipal administration in Russia. The analysis of the state of state and municipal administration and its compliance with the requirements of managerial science is given the main directions of improving the legal support of state and municipal administration, the implementation of administrative reform, the development of the civil service of the Russian Federation, and the international experience of transformations in the field of public administration is highlighted. Significant attention is paid to structural transformations, the regulation of administrative procedures for the provision of public services, reform of the public service and control and supervision activities, the implementation of the principles of project management in state authorities, as well as the digitalization of public administration. The prospects of improving the system of state power, mechanisms for making and implementing management decisions are considered.
