The monograph presents the most important results of a fundamental scientific research, carried out at the Economic Department of the St. Petersburg State University in 2018-2019. With the support of the Grant RFFI No. 18-010-01204 "Assessment of strategic sustainability of enterprises of large, medium and small businesses in the depressed regions of Russia (for example, the Pskov region) The study has developed a new theoretical and methodological approach to assessing the strategic stability of enterprises in the regions of Russia, scientific hypotheses on the influence of a complex of large, medium and small businesses on the development of Russian regions were tested, a rating of the regions of the Russian Federation on the development of a complex of enterprises was developed. The calculations are made on the basis of data on the regions of Russia, special attention is paid to the development of a set of enterprises of the Pskov region. Recommendations have been given to improve the strategic management of the development of depressed regions of Russia on the basis of the implementation of measures for the formation of regional profit centers.
