The monograph is devoted to the principle of the closest connection as a universal formula used to solve the main problem of international private law - to find a proper law enforcement for a private legal relationship with a foreign element. The analysis is subjected to the formation, content and functions of the principle of the closest connection in the mechanism of conflict-legal regulation. Based on a single interpretation of the content of the principle built on the evolving system of parameters (territorial localization, supplemented by taking into account significant substantive considerations), the author sequentially analyzes the implementation of the principle of the closest connection as a factor in the formation of the content of conflicts, conflicting binding (primarily the general reserve conflict of reference. and a special conflict binding for a mixed contract and a contract in relation to real estate) and a corrective reservation (for contractual legal relations of an international nature)
