The work presents the Soviet criminal situation, which was almost unknown to the modern Russian lawyer, developed on the basis of the criminal Code of 1903 by the People"s Commissariat of the Russian Federation by March 1918, being a historical source-a monument of law, it reflects the views of a certain category of legal scientists who advocated continuity in law. In this regard, the work provides an analysis of the main provisions of the criminal law doctrine, which has developed by the beginning of the 20th century, the issues related to the criminal law, the crime, and the circumstances that exclude the crime of the act, the punishment are described, and the characteristic of a number of groups of crimes reflected in the special part is given Code. The text of the Soviet Criminal Code and comparative tables of the ratio of its norms with the norms of the criminal Code of 1903 are given.
