The subject of the monograph by V. L. Wolfson is the abuse of law - a little -studied and acutely in need of studying the doctrine of civilism. The monograph explores a complex relationship between subjective law and interest, as well as between "imputed" and "vulnerable" interest. The criterion for abuse of legal good is the discrepancy between the measure of satisfaction of genuine interest in the level of satisfaction, which is ensured by this good. V. L. Wolfson also explores a system of counteracting the abuse of the right in Russian legislation, identifies individual opposition methods, and model examples shows the performance of his theory of abuse. The independent section of the work is devoted to the study of the lawmaking of the Roman praetor and the possibility of borrowing some principles of this law -making in modern strategies to counteract the abuse of law.
