This edition of the works of the pioneer of Russian civilism - D.I. Meyer was prepared for the 200th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding scientist.
Volume 1 contains the work of "Russian civil law". In the course of the lectures read a century and a half ago at Kazan University, which his students and followers, D.I. Meyer gives the first in the history of Russian law the harmonious system of the subject and tasks of civil law. The reprint of "Russian civil law" aims to introduce not only specialists, but also the general public with the classical characteristics of numerous aspects of civil law.
Tom 2 presents works that clearly indicate that the author’s interests were not limited to general issues of civil law. The scientist’s talent was fully manifested in the consideration of special problems of bill of bill, as well as issues of feigned transactions, ancient pledges, trade life of Odessa and the significance of practice in the system of legal education. The works included in this publication reveal the outstanding research qualities of D.I.
