The study is devoted to the problems of protecting the right to proceedings within a reasonable time in civil and arbitration processes in the Russian Federation. The development of the right to legal proceedings within a reasonable time in European states is analyzed and a comparative legal analysis is carried out. The legal positions of the European Court of Human Rights are studied and their significance is determined for Russian procedural legislation. At the same time, the causes of violation of reasonable terms in the Russian Federation are also analyzed and measures are proposed to eliminate them. The author also determines the content and features of the implementation of the protection of the right to legal proceedings within a reasonable time in Russia.
