The book of the famous Bulgarian lawyer Yanaki is worth the “Principles of Law: Concept and Application” was first published in 2018 in Sofia and became an event in theoretical and legal science. The monograph presents the author’s concept of the principles of law-the “fourth method” of their justification as a normative-social phenomenon. Based on the array of historical and philosophical sources and modern legislation, the normative nature of the principles of law is shown, their functions, forms and types are analyzed. The author evaluates the role of the principles of law in the legitimation of the law and law and order. The book has a pronounced interdisciplinary character - it is written from the point of view of fundamental jurisprudence, at the junction of philosophy, ethics, and sociology.
