The monograph is devoted to questions about the concept and signs of an official. The choice of the problem is due to the ambiguity of theoretical approaches to the definition of this concept, the absence of a uniformity of applying the relevant norm of the criminal law in practice and, as a result, the presence of errors in investigative and judicial practice in determining such a special subject of a crime as an official.
The work uses special literature on the problems of countering crimes by officials, the corresponding decisions of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, materials of investigative and judicial practice.
Particular attention in the work is paid to the legislation of foreign countries, which regulates the issues of liability of officials for the commission of crimes, including legislative approaches to the concept of an official.
The monograph is focused on employees of scientific institutions and teachers of law universities, students and graduate students, as well as practical law enforcement officials and courts.
