This monograph addresses relevant issues related to the legal status and criminal procedure activities of the inquiry bodies of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. On the basis of a deep analysis of industry legislation and departmental (by -laws) regulatory legal acts, the author thoroughly justifies the feasibility of further improvement of the norms of the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the corresponding conceptual apparatus.
