The monograph is devoted to the study of municipalities as subjects of civil law. The work formulated the definition of the concept of municipality as a subject of civil law, the norms of law on the participation of legal entities in civil relations that are not subject to application to municipalities due to the law or the characteristics of these subjects are identified, and the characteristics of the civil legal personality of municipalities were revealed. The features of the participation of municipalities in property legal relations, contractual obligations, as well as the features of civil liability of these entities are analyzed.
