The monograph is devoted to the analysis of the legal grounds for recognition and execution of foreign court decisions in Russia. In particular, the genesis and modern content of the concept of the international agreement for the purposes of applying Art. 409 Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation, as well as Art. 241 and 245.1 APC of the Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to such legal concepts as "international politeness" and "mutuality". The monograph also analyzes the modern practice of the ECHR on the application of Art. 6 and/or Art. 8 of the European Convention of 1950 to decisions of foreign courts. Based on the study, the author formulates conclusions regarding the general laws of interaction between states in the field of mutual recognition and execution of court decisions.
