A comprehensive analysis of the processes taking place in the legal education system in Russia is proposed, its achievements and problem points are reflected. The role of higher education in the formation of a legal profession, the scale of generation in educational institutions of general values and attitudes of various groups of lawyers - judges, lawyers, law enforcement officials in educational institutions. In this sense, the monograph continues a series of books prepared by the Institute for the Problems of Law enforcement on the sociology of the legal profession dedicated to judges, lawyers and investigators. The distinguishing features of the book are a view of Russian legal education in terms of sociology of the profession and in comparison with other countries, as well as a variety of methods used in the study (statistics analysis, questionnaires, expert interviews and focus groups).
