The monographs analyzed the provisions of the Federal Law of 11/21/2011 No. 324-ФЗ "On Free Legal Assistance in the Russian Federation" and the laws of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the provision of free legal assistance. The powers of state authorities and state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to regulate free legal assistance are considered. Particular attention is paid to the activities of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, which is an authorized body in the field of free legal assistance. The features of the provision of free legal assistance to citizens who have found themselves in a difficult life situation are dismantled and in the provision of psychiatric care. The author explores the features of the provision of free legal assistance by participants in state and non -state systems and offers his vision of the system of providing free legal assistance. The work presents the experience of foreign countries to provide free legal assistance.
