This monograph discusses the problems of the interaction of legal and economic thought in retrospective, mainly in the second half of the XVIII - beginning of the twentieth century. The basis of the analysis of the scientific heritage of scientists, in the studies of which the interdisciplinary problem in the specified aspect was most affordable. A. Smith and K. Marx, I. Bentham and J. S. Mill, A. Wagner and B. Webb, S. Webb, as well as R. Stammler and M. Weber are highlighted as key figures. The book discusses the features of their biography, in particular influenced the specifics of the perception of the designated interaction. Particular attention is paid to the fate of publications of these scientists in Russia, their assessment of Russian colleagues and impact on scientific and political processes in our country.
