The textbook intended to form general ideas about jurisprudence as a scope of activity, about legal profession and legal education, the issues of the content and social purposes of jurisprudence, legal education in Russia, the areas of activity of a lawyer, the types of legal professions, the requirements for their representatives, professional legal consciousness and ethics are considered lawyer. Attention is paid to the development of jurisprudence from antiquity to the present day, the specifics of legal education and types of legal professions abroad, sources of legal information and the basics of its search.
The publication includes a dictionary of significant legal terms, control issues, practical and test tasks, extracts from sources. The legislation is given as of June 2019, taking into account certain changes that have entered into force on September 2019.
