The publication is devoted to topical issues of the legal regulation of the Institute of Social benefits and compensation payments appointed to citizens of the Russian Federation upon occurrence of cases certain in the legislation: diseases or injuries, pregnancy and childbirth, raising children, loss of work, etc.
The scientific and practical manual shows the relationship between the purpose of social benefits with the leading areas of social policy in the Russian Federation and the BRICS countries, the stages of the formation and development of legislation on social benefits and compensations in the Soviet period and in modern Russia, the legal nature of such payments and Their substantial disclosure in the norms of international law reflects interaction with some institutions of labor law. The book contains relevant proposals on the further development of Russian legislation on the types of social benefits and compensations, analysis of issues of judicial practice.
