Children"s Ombudsman, being a subject of public administration, ensures the coordination of state management activities in the field of protecting the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the child and is an element of the mechanism for the execution of the functions of the President of the Russian Federation as a guarantor of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the rights and freedoms of man and citizen ( part 2 of article 80 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation).
