In the presented work, along with traditional issues of hereditary law, the problems of the development of legislation on inheritance are considered, the concepts of inheritance law are analyzed, and ways of its development are proposed. Together with the norms of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, legislative and other acts adopted by part of the third Code are analyzed, law enforcement practice is investigated, the latest amendments and additions of legislation are taken into account. In addition, the resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of May 29, 2012 No. 9 “On Judicial Practice for Inheritance”, which entered into force on September 1, 2018, Federal Law of July 29, 2017 No. 259-ФЗ, is analyzed. On amendments to the first, second, second and third Civil Code of the Russian Federation ”, regulating the creation and activities of hereditary funds, as well as the Federal Law of July 19, 2018 No. 217-ФЗ“ On Amendments to Article 256 of the One and part of the third civilian Code of the Russian Federation ”, establishing the possibility of making joint wills and concluding hereditary agreements. The book conducted a historical overview of the legislation and literature of different times, a comparative analysis of foreign legislation on hereditary funds, joint wills and hereditary agreements is given. Additionally, 60 terms and definitions of inheritance law are proposed. The work will be useful for students and teachers of law universities, judges, lawyers, notaries and entrepreneurs, as well as for citizens interested in their rights and obligations.
