This monograph is studying the history, modern state and prospects for the development of harmonization of the criminal procedure legislation of the European Union, including the influence on this process of the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHF) and the judicial practice of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR. ) The author analyzes social relations arising on the basis of the Constituent Agreements of the EU (primary law of the EU), the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, Normative Acts of the EU (directives) in the field of harmonization of criminal procedure legislation and the norms of the national criminal procedure legislation of member states EU.
