State control, municipal control in the Russian Federation for the purpose of this Federal Law is understood as the activities of the regional authorities aimed at the prevention, identification and suppression of violations of mandatory requirements, carried out within the powers of these bodies through the prevention of violations of mandatory requirements, evaluating compliance with citizens and organizations of mandatory requirements, identification of their violations, adoption of measures provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation to suppress the identified violations of mandatory requirements, eliminate their consequences and restore the legal status that existed before such violations
