Federal Law On Environmental Protection

In accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, everyone has the right to a favorable environment, everyone must maintain nature and the environment, take care of natural wealth, which are the basis of sustainable development, life and activities of peoples living in the territory of the Russian Federation.
This Federal Law defines the legal foundations of state policy in the field of environmental protection, ensuring a balanced solution to socio-economic problems, preserving the favorable environment, biological diversity and natural resources in order to meet the needs of current and future generations, and strengthen the law enforcement in the field of protection environment and ensuring environmental safety.
This Federal Law regulates relations in the field of interaction between society and nature that arise in the implementation of economic and other activities related to environmental impact as the most important component of the environment, which is the basis of life on Earth, within the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as on the continental shelf "and in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation
