The book Employees. The experience of the sociological analysis of the modern Russian police ”is devoted to the practically unknown“ broad intellectual public ”to the parties to the activities of servicemen, whose tasks include protecting the law and order, on the one hand, and protect the state from internal threats, on the other. This very closed, heterogeneous and internally conflict social group of “employees” has its own traditions, customs, developed practices in relations with the population and other groups. The authors consider the dynamics of economic relations between guardians and law enforcement officers and demonstrate that in recent years the state prefers to provide the second resources to the detriment of the second, and also analyze the attitude towards “employees” of ordinary citizens
