The monograph is devoted to the forensic study of the document through a broader concept - "documented information". In the work, the essence of documented information is revealed through categories such as "content", "details", "attributes" and "metadata". The ratio of documented information with the document and other documentary objects is presented. The nature of documented information and the reflection in it "traces" of criminal activity were studied. The classification of documented information is given on the basis of solving the problems of forensic activity.
The applied part of the work is devoted to topical issues of collecting and researching documented information in the disclosure and investigation of crimes. The directions of improving forensic activities for the collection and study of documented information are determined.
