The proposed course of lectures was prepared on the basis of an analysis of the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation governing the procedure for considering criminal cases by the court with the participation of jury, published judicial practice and the practice of considering criminal cases with the Yaroslavl Regional Court with the participation of jury for 2003-2017. The relevance of the work is obvious in connection with the amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, expanding the application of the Institute of Jurisdiction, and by enforcement from June 1, 2018 by the court with the participation of jury in the district courts of the Russian Federation.
