This is a postal commentary on the Convention on the civil aspects of the international abduction of children in 1980, which Russia joined in 2011. Among the authors, commentary is not only ICFP specialists, but also representatives of state bodies in the field of protection of the rights of children and parents: A.Z. Dzugaeva - deputy. Head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Moscow, A.N. Shchepetkov - deputy. Head of the Department of Normative Regulation in the Field of Protection of Children"s Rights of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Protection of Children"s Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. In the comments, a detailed analysis of the articles of the Convention is given, taking into account the foreign practice of its application and doctrinal sources. The authors compared the provisions of the Convention with Russian legal norms with the aim of proper understanding and application of the Convention in Russia.
