This comment is written with the aim of helping lawyers, judges, scientists and students interested in civil law, to navigate the problematic issues of applying the general provisions of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation on contracts (Articles 420-453) On the pages of the book, the issues of the legal regime of freedom of contract, the procedure for concluding, the pre -contractual liability and contractual assurances, the framework, preliminary contract, options and other contractual constructions, interpretation of the contract, amending and terminating the contract and much more are understood. The authors set themselves the task of highlighting the maximum number of complex and ambiguous issues of interpretation and application of the general provisions of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation on the contract, as possible in these articles, reflect, if possible, all the accumulated judicial practice of applying these articles by higher courts and, in some cases, propose optimal ways to solve identified problems and conflicts
