This publication is a postal scientific and practical commentary on section VI “International Private Law” of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
In addition to all the norms of the aforementioned section, other provisions of Russian law related to its content, as well as judicial practice, are also taken into account. International acts, foreign laws, domestic and foreign doctrinal springs are taken into account. This made it possible to analyze the role of these norms in the Russian legal system and give their characterization in the international context.
Most of the authors of the commentary took part in the preparation of section VI and its subsequent improvement.
The application shows a number of additional materials preserving their value, which allow you to better understand the initial reasons for the development of both section VI and changes and additions to it. In addition, an important decision of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation 2019 on the application of international private law is published.
The publication is intended for lawyers-practitioners, judges, employees of state bodies, scientists, teachers, graduate students and students, all who are interested in studying and correctly applied the current legislation in the field of international private law.
