The monograph is devoted to the study of the legal regulation of civil proceedings, arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative resolution of private law disputes in the states of North Africa - Algeria and Egypt.
A characteristic of legal and judicial systems of these countries is presented, sources of legal regulation of the procedure for resolving private law disputes in state courts, arbitration and dispute resolution centers have been presented. The issues related to the state regulation of the activities of African traditional courts of ordinary law (Customary Court) and Sharia vessels have been disclosed. The courts of customary law have been preserved and operate in two regions of Algeria - Kabilia and MZAB. Egypt is one of the countries with the current Muslim law, where there is no system of special Shariah courts. The latter were liquidated in 1956. However, Article 2 of the Constitution of 2014 secured Islam as the state religion and the principles of Sharia - as the main source of legislation. Therefore, all the national courts of Egypt should use Sharia as the highest law of the state.
The monograph is intended for students, graduate students, teachers of law universities, scientists, practicing lawyers, as well as for everyone who is interested in the problems of the right of foreign states
