This edition has a very briefly set out the fundamentals of legislation, theory and practice on preliminary investigation in Russian criminal proceedings. At the same time, special attention is paid to what is new in this area, controversial or difficult, unsuccessfully formulated in the law or is ambiguously perceived and therefore devoid of the necessary uniformity in practical application. In the form of applications to the author’s text, two regulatory acts are included in the publication, which are not widely known, but along with the Criminal Procedure Code are used in pre-trial activities in criminal cases.
The manual was prepared according to the state of the legislation for January 2017
intended for investigators and interrogators, primarily for those who have not yet received a higher legal education or want to replenish and refresh their knowledge in the field of constantly improved Russian criminal procedure law. It will be interesting and a wider circle of readers
