The book of the outstanding German agrarian economist Ulrich Keoster has been a bestseller in several languages for a decade and has been used by universities in European and Asian countries. The first part of the training manual is devoted to the foundations of the agricultural economy. The features of the agricultural sector are discussed, which limit the use of simple neoclassical theory, but require the use of institutional and behavioral economies. The second part discusses the most important aspects of agrarian policy, goal -setting and analysis of political goals, subjects of agricultural policy and a group of interests. An economic analysis of the most commonly used measures of state regulation of the agricultural market was carried out.
