The textbook sets out the most important issues that reveal the concept of Russian advocacy, determining its place and role in modern civil society. The main historical milestones of the development of the Institute of Advocacy were determined, the essence of the status of a lawyer, a guarantee of his independence are disclosed. The structure of various types of lawyers is described in detail. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of the lawyer in constitutional, civil, administrative and criminal proceedings.
