The main methodological principle of the textbook is to include in the first lessons syntactic topics that allows you to quickly go to reading non-adaption texts. The textbook consists of 23 lessons, readstatology, a brief grammatical reference book, Latin-Russian and Russian-Latin dictionaries. The publication includes sections "Latin proverbs, sayings, winged words", as well as "Latin legal expressions and formulas". The textbook is intended for students of humanitarian faculties, mainly philological, historical and philological, and can also be used for self-study of the Latin language. This is facilitated by the composition of the textbook containing the mature presentation of the grammatical material with detailed explanations of those in relation to the texts
