This book is the most fundamental work on laser resonators and, undoubtedly, should become a desktop for each specialist in laser physics and technology. The principle of building a book - from the fundamentals to the latest achievements.
In the first part, the initial theoretical provisions are considered to obtain a general presentation of relatively modern mathematical concepts of optics. In Part II, the example of the Fabry-pen resonator discusses the basic properties of resonators, such as losses, amplification, threshold and line width. In part III, passive (without active medium) resonators are considered. The effect of the active medium on the properties of the resonator is discussed in part IV. There is also an overview of laser radiation generation physics, there are estimated models for estimating the generation capacity and the effect of strengthening to the mods structure is considered. Some types of special resonators are presented in part V: prisoners, hybrid, resonators with Fourier conversion and resonators for active media with a cross section in the form of a ring, as well as ring resonators. The main measuring equipment, including the technique for measuring the amplification, loss and quality of the beam, which is extremely important for developers and users of laser systems, is considered in part VI.
