This edition of the Church Slavonic Psalter (in modern orthography) is intended for cell reading in dim lighting and for the visually impaired. The Appendix includes the text of the litia performed by a layperson at home and in the cemetery, prayers for the living and the deceased, and the order of their inclusion in the Psalter prayer books. Various traditions of reading the Psalter for the living and the deceased are indicated. The book concludes with a glossary of some difficult words and expressions for understanding.
