In the title of the novel, the patterned cover, written in 1925 by the British classic William Somerset Maugham, was reflected in the lines of the sonnet of Persian Bishi Shelly Lift Not the Painted Veil Which Live Call Life: Oh, do not raise the Patriotic Plaint, which people call their lives. The reader is waiting for a journey, leading beyond the limits of everyday reality, full of desperate searches and deep insights. Having passed through difficult tests with love and betrayal, looking into the eyes of death, the main character acquires an understanding of herself and comes to rethinking her own life. The text is reduced and adapted.
