The monograph presents multi -structural units of the syntactic level, denoting concession relations. These units are considered in the traditions of functional linguistics using the cognitive (onomasiological) approach: from the expressed meaning - to determining the boundaries of the class of structures that express this meaning. The problem of ways to designate concessions is studied on the material of modern information, analytical and information-analytical journalism. The study uses the grammatical modeling method, which allows you to identify all the structural types of concessions and present a new linguistic object - a class of concinging structures.
