The book is devoted to the history of the translated monument of ancient Russian literature "Proof of the coming of Christ", as well as the formation and characteristics of the Translation School in Ancient Rus" at the turn of the XV-XVI centuries. This is the composition of Nikolai de Lira, the famous theologian, the first professor of the Sorbonne, the head of the Franciscan Order, written in 1309-1334, is published in Russian. The translation is based on the inconabul, stored in the RSL MCC and published in Paris at the end of the 15th century. Popular in Western Europe, the composition has a general name "Probatio Adventus Christi" and has been published more than once in the inconabulas under various names. In Rus", the text of Lyra received his own story in three centuries long. The transfer to Church Slavonic was made by Dmitry Gerasimov. This is one of the most famous and educated figures in Rus" of the turn of the XV-XVI centuries. The text of the translation reached us in the lists of the XVIII century. In the parallel of the decrypted Latin incunabul de Lira, the publication is given the Church Slavonic translation by Gerasimov, reproducing the Him manuscript.
