The book is devoted to the analysis of the relationship of the language of ancient Russia with its history and culture. The central theme of the book is the medieval, in essence, the worldview of an old Russian man as a whole and its reflection in the language and culture of this era.
On the vast material of the original ancient Russian sources and translated texts, using the data of classical works on the history of the Eastern Slavs, the author explores the history of ancient Russian words, and also considers various social and domestic concepts of Ancient Russia. Social, ethical, domestic terms expressing ideas about the world and man, about family and tribe, about power and law, people and the state, about relationships between people, about house and land, are considered in their historical development: since ancient times and the same Before the era of the first states of Ancient Russia, formed in the conditions of the struggle of pagan and Christian cultures.
