The sorceress"s song. English with John Kitsa

Despite his short life, John Kits (1795-1821) still remains one of the brightest stars of English romantic poetry. In this collection, each poet’s poem is given first with a literal translation into Russian and lexical comment, which is included in it (in brackets), and then repeated without translation. Since the translation and commentary are given not separately from the text, but “built” into it, accompanying individual sentences and parts of sentences, a poem, no matter how difficult in language, it inevitably becomes clear to the reader with the initial level of language training. This approach gives (not existing earlier) the opportunity to read English poetic texts in the original in almost any Russian -speaking reader
