The richness of color in the Russian language

In the monograph, direct color designations with all kinds of broadcasting color characteristics are investigated: emotional, figurative, game, tinting. An analysis of various objects that personify color (animals and plants, food products and minerals, fabrics and natural phenomena) is given. Some colors lost in modern Russian are analyzed. The color in painting, icon painting, artistic prose, poetry, colloquial discourse, science, medicine, production, folklore is also included in the structure of the book. Throughout the narrative, the amazing subtlety of the Russian language in the transmission of the color palette is emphasized.
