The textbook is a full course of the Hebrew language, which includes the introductory-phonetic section, the main course of grammar and syntax, textbook and reference materials. The author of the textbook is priest Alexander Zinovkin, candidate of theology, teacher of the Hebrew language and secretary of the Academic Council of St. Petersburg. The textbook is intended both for students of spiritual seminaries and academies (within the framework of a training course or with independent training), and for everyone who wants to learn the Hebrew language and read biblical texts in the original language. The author’s goal was to present the material systematically, compactly and at the same time in a language available to the reader, without the use of complex scientific terminology. A distinctive feature of the book is that from the first lessons, students are offered original texts of the Old Testament. This publication is edited by the candidate of the Istoric Sciences and the Associate Professor of the Department of Bibleistic of St. Petersburg State University K. A. Betner.
