The proposed publication consists of two sections: exercises and tasks for improving reading techniques (“Reading Rules”) and for teaching background reading (“Tales” and “Legends”) The first section covers such phenomena of phonetic reduction as swallowing, assimilation, aspiration and palatalization. The second section includes twenty -seven fairy tales and twelve legends, on the material of which the skills of background reading are formed: in addition to getting used to the growing volume of Korean graphic symbols, background knowledge is gradually accumulating in beginners through the assimilation of the realities of the country and the culture of the studied language. You can check the exercises and tasks yourself using the answers section.
The third part of the simple Korean textbook is intended for students of higher educational institutions studying in the areas linguistics, pedagogical education (foreign language), as well as for everyone who wants to independently learn to read in Korean.
