The final, eighth, the release of the dictionary (issue 7 was released in 2017) completes the publication of the materials of the Tver dialects of the area of Lake Seliger. The dictionary materials cover the territory of areas that directly adjacent to Lake Seliger, as well as certain areas of the Valdai Upland: these are the territories of the Tver region (from the Firovsky district in the northeast to Toropetsky in the west) and two southern regions of the Novgorod region. Thus, the dictionary can be considered as the main transitional link from the eastern Central Russian dialects to the area of the Pskov Regional Dictionary.
In comparison with previous issues, the illustrative zone of vocabulary articles has been significantly expanded, which allows not only to imagine the actual differential vocabulary, but also to show the dictionary of modern peasant colloquial speech as a whole. Records of texts were conducted in the field from 1990 to 2013
